A professional poker player got arrested at a hotel in North Carolina and charged with a misdemeanor prostitution charge. Greg Raymer, who is known as “Fossilman” in the professional poker circuit, got arrested by an undercover cop at a hotel in Wake Forest, N.C., after responding to an ad on a website used by prostitutes, reports NY Daily News.

The 48-year-old was hoping to “go all in” with the hooker he contacted online but it didn’t take him long to realize the woman was a bluff. Raymer was taken to a local police station where they took a mug shot of him and charged him with a misdemeanor prostitution charge and attempted crime against nature.

The lawyer for Raymer, Wade M. Smith, said: “Mr. Raymer is very sorry for this lapse in judgement. He regrets deeply the pain he has caused his family, friends and fans. Mr. Raymer is grateful for the many expressions of support he has received.”

Raymer won the 2004 World Series of Poker Main Event and has amassed more than $7 million since he turned pro. He is married and has a daughter.  He walked out of jail on a $1,000 bond. A court hearing is set for April 18.
